Gear up for your next steampunk adventure with the tactical bustle.
I started with a pair of old camouflage cargo pants, harvested the pockets and patched them together over the bustle pattern I drafted. There are three pockets on the outside of the bustle, two with drawstrings and lots of space and a smaller one in the center. Side panels slope up to the waistband of the same fabric. The tactical bustle is designed to be worn with your belt of webbing or leather.
The bustle holds its shape with three sections of plastic tubing drawn in with cotton webbing on the underside. The underside also features a hidden pocket with velcro closure for secure storage.
The entire bustle is lined in strong cotton duck cloth. The bottom hem is finished with a pleated ruffle.
This bustle is about 10 inches tall, including the side pieces it is about 23" across. It projects about 8" from the body.
The construction of it allows it to collapse for transport or storage. Dry clean or spot clean as needed.
